I make a small number of apps, and every one of them started as a
problem I was having myself. I build the thing, live with it for a
while, and open it up to other people once I trust it.
Everything is kept on your device wherever possible, an account only
appears when a feature
can't work without one, and there are no ads or analytics in any of
them. Paid apps are buy once, own forever. The odd subscription only
exists where I'm paying to host something, and the price is a fair
contribution to that cost. As they mature I plan to open source as many
as I can.
